The company was founded by Arthur P Dinan in 1969 and the business was located at Piermount Thurles. Arthur developed the business concentrating on importing quality softwoods and hardwoods and distributing them among the Builders merchants and Joinery Trade all over the country. Arthur also cut and machined timber to specific requirements.
In 1998 Stakelums Hardware purchased the business from Arthur. Robert Stakelum took over as MD at that time and built on the very solid foundation that was already there and continued to grow the business and develop new markets and broaden the product range considerably.
The business is now located at Railway Rd Thurles Co Tipperary. The company employ 9 staff made up of 2 Delivery, 1 administration, 2 sales and 3 yard personnel together with the MD Robert Stakelum.
